SYNOPSIS
 When Tiger Woods set his fifth tournament record in as many starts, the game's No. 1 player collected his ninth win of the season. "I've had a good summer," Woods said in understatement. Grant Waite made Woods work for this one, though. The two men were tied entering the final round and the lead jockeyed back and forth until Woods made a 12-foot birdie putt at the 16th hole. Waite had a chance at the par-5 18th when he reached the green in two after Woods drove into a fairway bunker. Woods blasted a 6-iron out of the bunker, though -- a shot Waite later called "incredible" -- and the ball settled 18 feet from the pin for another eagle try. Woods won by one at 22 under after closing with a 65. "Grant forced my hand," Waite said. "It was just like the PGA Championship. Two competitors going at it, making birdies, nobody backing down."
