Round 4 Notes: Legends Reno-Tahoe Open

• John Rollins was 11-under on the par-5s at Montreux Golf and Country Club, 5-under on the par-4s and 1-under on the par-3s.

• For the sixth consecutive year, the winner shot a final-round in the 70s at the Legends Reno-Tahoe Open. Rollins fired a 72 Sunday to win. In that six-year period, only Will MacKenzie had an under-par final round and went on to win. Here are the winners' final scores since Kirk Triplett had a 9-under 63 to win in 2003:

• Rollins continued a trend in Reno with players cruising to wide-margin wins. In 2008, McLachlin won by seven strokes, and in 2007 Flesch was a five-stroke winner. Rollins won by three.

• Alex Cejka picked up his second top 10 of 2009 with his T5 at the Legends Reno-Tahoe Open. It was his first top 10 since THE PLAYERS Championship, where he tied for ninth after being the 54-hole leader at TPC Sawgrass.

• Kevin Na earned his eighth top-10 finish of the season. While playing the front nine in 1-over Sunday, Na opened his back nine with three consecutive birdies and five total on the back nine to tie for fifth.

• Three weeks ago, Jeff Quinney tied for fourth at the U.S. Bank Championship at Milwaukee. It was his first top 10 of the season. Sunday in Reno, Quinney was back at it, shooting a final-round 66 to tie for second. He was 9-under on the par-4s this week.

• There were four par-4 eagles this week, the latest coming from Jason Gore on Sunday at the 13th hole. After a 291-yard drive, he holed out from 56 yards. The other par-4 eagles this week came from Marc Leishman (sixth hole), Mark Brooks (first hole) and Martin Laird (18th hole).

• Laird (tied for second), Ryan Palmer (tie for fifth), Joe Ogilvie (fourth), Robert Garrigus, Jonathan Kaye, Billy Mayfair and Rocco Mediate (tied for ninth) all recorded their first top 10s of 2009.

• Rod Pampling played the 11th hole in even par this week. After a birdie Thursday and a quadruple bogey Friday, he made birdie-eagle on the weekend.

• Michael Allen was the only player age 50 and older in the field to make the cut. The former University of Nevada player tied for 47th. The winner of the Senior PGA Championship on the Champions Tour earlier this year has made 12 cuts in 16 PGA TOUR starts.

• Twelve players had bogey-free rounds through three rounds, and three more added their names to the list Sunday. They were Bob Heintz (one birdie, 17 pars), Kaye (four birdies, 14 pars) and Quinney (six birdies, 12 pars).
