David's father, Bob, is a former Champions Tour player. David caddied for his dad at the 1996 Transamerica -- Bob's first Champions Tour event. |

He was inducted into the Georgia Tech Athletics Hall of Fame in 2003. While at Georgia Tech, Duval was named a first-team All-American four times and twice was named ACC Player of the Year. |

Duval's breakout season was in 1998, when he won four times and led the TOUR in money and scoring. From '97 through '01, Duval won 13 times and spent some time ranked No. 1 in the world. |

His last victory was the 2001 British Open, where he shot 10 under to win by three strokes. It was also his first and only major win. |
