Five things you should know about Carl Pettersson

Carl's father was a Volvo executive who was transferred from Sweden to North Carolina when Carl was in high school. Carl started playing at the age of 10. Was roommates at North Carolina State with Tim Clark. Has two career top-10s in majors. Finished tied for sixth at the U.S. Open in Torrey Pines in 2008. His course record 61 was tied for the lowest round of the year on the 2008 PGA TOUR. Is part of a growing list of PGA TOUR players who make their year-round home in North Carolina. Pettersson lives in Raleigh, while Mathew Goggin, Brendon de Jonge and Johnson Wagner live in the Charlotte area.
