Granted, he didn't win. But Kevin Sutherland can take a ton of confidence into 2009 after reaching playoffs twice in his final six starts of last season. One of those came at The Barclays, where he went toe-to-toe with the eventual champ, Vijay Singh and Sergio Garcia in the first event of the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup. He also lost in a playoff at the Frys.com Open, his final event of the year. It all added up to a career year for Sutherland, who earned more than $2.5 million to finish 18th on the money list. He also was 11th in the FedExCup standings to earn his way back into the Masters for the first time since 2003. -- Helen Ross

If you saw Kevin in the airport, you would think that he was a stockbroker. He is not but most of them would love to have his number.
