Look for Justin Rose to split time on the PGA TOUR and European Tour again in 2009 to take advantage of the FedExCup and Race to Dubai bounty. He'll need to play better than he did in 2008 to contend, though.
Although he earned about $1.8 million worldwide, Rose ranked 81st on the Order of Merit and 99th on the TOUR money list. That contrasts with the 2007 season when Rose won the Order of Merit and was 19th on the other side of the pond.
Rose has yet to win in America but he tied for second at the Memorial and ninth at the PGA Championship. His best performance on the European Tour was a tie for fifth at the Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles. Rose did make a solid Ryder Cup debut, though, posting a 3-1-0 record and downing Phil Mickelson in Singles. -- Helen Ross
