For the second year in a row, Bubba Watson has an invite for the biggest events on the PGA TOUR schedule after a consistent season in 2008. The lefthander nailed down 19 cuts in 29 starts and finished a career-high 30th in the FedExCup.
The big-hitting Watson hit seven figures for the third consecutive year since joining the PGA TOUR in 2006. He played in every event of the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup, too -- making his first trip to THE TOUR Championship presented by Coca-Cola along the way.
Watson equaled his career-best TOUR finish when he tied for second at the Buick Open after missing a 15-footer on the final hole that would have sent him into a playoff with Kenny Perry. Watson, who uses a trademark shaft on his driver, again led the TOUR in driving distance at 315.1 yards. -- Helen Ross
